Amsterdam Marriott Hotel – Hotel near airport in Amsterdam

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were old-fashioned for a supposed five-star hotel with a strange smell lingering. However, the access to a private lounge and the floor-to-ceiling windows were nice touches. The service was a bit hit or miss - friendly and helpful at times, but inconvenient lapses in room cleaning. The location was unbeatable, right across from the Leidseplein and convenient for city tours. The dining was a bit overpriced, but the staff was accommodating. Facilities were adequate, but the coffee was a letdown.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant with spacious rooms offering an amazing view and well-stocked food options for breakfast and dinner, allowing me to save time and money. Although the room was nice, it didn't feel like a significant upgrade from my elite status room. The service was excellent with a helpful concierge who arranged reservations at a fantastic Dutch restaurant. The location was ideal, close to major attractions, bars, and restaurants, yet not overcrowded. The dining experience was a bit disappointing due to long queues and slow service.
